നെA flower that blooms for the first time in a quarter of a century in a botanical garden in Thailand. After a gap of 24 years, the flower blooms, but if you want to see it up close, you have to cover your nose. The reason for the flower is the smell of rotten flesh.

It is the flower of the plant known scientifically as Amorphalus decus sylvae. But this plant also has another interesting name: Penis plant. The plant got such a nickname because of its male-shaped flower.

The flower bloomed on October 19 in the garden of Leyden Hortus Botanicus. The Netherlands is the third largest penny plant in Europe. Prior to that, the penny plant bloomed in 1997 at Leiden Hortus Botanic. But it’s just that it was on another plant. The plant, which was planted in 2015, now has flowers.

For the past six years, garden workers have been paying close attention to the plant, as it is a rare species. Flowering occurs when the plant reaches a height of 2 m. The flower alone can grow up to half a meter in height.

The Penis plant is native to the Indonesian island of Java. All plants of the genus Amorphalus bloom at intervals of years. Most of these flowers have a foul odor. Humans cannot tolerate this odor, but they do attract insects in large numbers.
