It is not enough to keep a distance from evil and do the good that is possible; Papa should also thank God for his blessings

Vatican City: Pope Francis said that it is not enough to be grateful for God’s blessings and to stay away from evil, but to do the good that is possible. The Pope’s call was made during a regular meeting with members of the Vatican Curia before Christmas. The Pope’s sermon was about the importance of being constantly vigilant in life and it was clear.

“We should not be satisfied with living from evil, but strive to do as much good as possible. “We need not only to condemn evil, but to enable the conversion of hearts,” urged the Pope. The Pope added that we must always be vigilant and avoid thinking that we are safe from evil.

The main danger that those who live for the service of God can encounter is thinking that they do not yet know more about the gospel. That is why this vigilance is all the more necessary. The Pope reminded us that continuous change like this is necessary because the temptations we think we have overcome can come back in other ways.

Wishing an end to the trumpets of war, the Pope called for an end not only to wars with missiles, but also wars of words, abuse of power and accusations. ‘Let the weapons of violence be laid aside before the coming Prince of Peace. “One should also be careful not to use their position to defame another,” added the Pope.
