It seems that a “privacy hub” that summarizes privacy settings will be added to the Chromebook | HelenTech

ChromeOS

With the update to version 105 of ChromeOS CanaryAdded a section called “Privacy Hub” in the menu of the settings app that summarizes the user’s privacy settings. It was reported that it has been done. This setting is a flag chrome://flags#enable-cros-privacy-hub Needs to be enabled, and the flag itself seems to have existed for a few weeks, but it’s finally being reflected.

However, so far, there are only a minimum number of setting items, and you can only switch the “camera” on and off. Therefore, it is not possible to make various settings from the beginning, so I don’t think there is any particular merit in using Canary just to try this.

Probably, it is expected that on / off of webcam, microphone, peep detection function, etc. will be added in the future, but it is unknown at this stage what kind of items will actually increase.

Now,[セキュリティとプライバシー]Settings include lock screen and login, managing other users, and sending information for improvement. Somehow, by separating the settings on the OS side and the settings on the application side (the right to access from the browser settings now), I think it would be nice to be able to manage them all at once.

I don’t know when this “Privacy Hub” will come to Stable, but it would be convenient if I could set it all on one screen without going back and forth between multiple settings, so I’d like to expect it.
