MILAN: Bottom tier Cremonese continue their Italian Cup woes with miserable performances in Serie A. Cremonese AS defeated strong Napoli in the last round. On the other hand, Roma progressed to the semi-finals. This is the team’s first semi-final appearance since 1987.
Cremonese will face Fiorentina in the semi-finals. In the other semi-final, defending champions Inter Milan will face the winners of the Juventus-Lazio match. Cremonese won 2-1 against Jose Mourinho’s Roma. Cereal Dessers (28) scored from the penalty spot while Mehmet Seki Selic’s own goal (49) helped the team. Andrea Bellotti (90 + 4) scored Roma’s consolation goal.
