The self-proclaimed ‘best driver’ actress Kim Sae-ron (21), who boasted of getting a perfect score on the driver’s license test, was charged with driving under the influence, and CCTV footage was released at the time of the accident, which made public opinion even colder.
Kim Sae-ron was driving on a road near Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 8 am on the 18th, and collided with a guard rail, a street tree, and a transformer several times. As a result of the accident, electricity supply was cut off at 57 places including nearby shops, and after restoration work, it was restored to normal within 3 hours.
In the CCTV released by YTN, the black SUV car driven by Kim Sae-ron staggered out of the alley, turned right, and then rushed toward the sidewalk and crashed into a transformer.
The owner of a cafe near the accident said, “I couldn’t do business for about three to four hours in the morning,” and “I was afraid that everything in the refrigerator and freezer would be damaged because the power went out.”
The police responded to multiple reports saying “there is a vehicle that is moving visibly shaking” and caught Kim Sae-ron, and charged with violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
At that time, the police tried to measure the blood alcohol level when the alcohol test was positive, but Kim Sae-ron refused to do so and expressed her intention to draw blood.
A police official said that they plan to make charges based on the results of the blood sampling that will be out in a week.

Meanwhile, the police are examining whether the charge of aiding drunk driving can be applied to a passenger in their 20s who was in the car with Kim Sae-ron at the time of the accident.
In some circles, suspicions arose that Kim Sae-ron’s usual best friend and actress Kim Bo-ra, whom she took a picture with the day before the incident, was the passenger. In response, Bo-ra Kim posted an image with the words ‘Is it me?’ on social media service (SNS), denying her allegations.
Kim Sae-ron, who debuted in 2001, is well known to the public as a child actress in the movie ‘The Mister’.
