It’s too late to buy an iPhone 14 Pro / Max as a Christmas present now | Anue tycoon

UBS released a research report on Wednesday (23rd) showing that it may be too late to buy Apple’s high-end iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models as Christmas gifts, as supply disruptions have led to a waiting period for Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max in the United States Extending to more than a month, Apple’s first fiscal quarter iPhone sales forecast (ending in December) is worrying.

UBS analyst David Vogt expects no surprises in Apple’s first quarter iPhone sales (ending in December), and is even more likely to see iPhone sales fall short of expectations.

Vogt said: “This quarter’s iPhone sales forecast is likely to be 83 million units, or even lower than expected. Although demand does not appear to be the main driver, based on based on the survey, we believe the market is ready for 1 million to 2 million units below our expectations of mobile phone sales.”

Vogt said wait times had increased in most markets, including the United States, in the latest week due to supply chain disruptions caused by the coronavirus lockdown in China. According to data from Apple’s official website in the United States, if American users place an order on Wednesday, they will not be able to get it until January 3 next year, which is equivalent to waiting for 41 days.

In addition, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said on Wednesday that many Apple stores and retailers are running low on iPhone 14 inventory. iPhone sales on Black Friday this year are expected to reach around 8 million units, well below 10 million of units sold during the same period last year.

Ives predicts that demand for the iPhone 14 will far exceed supply, which could lead to a severe shortage before Christmas.

Apple ( AAPL-US ) rose 0.59% to $151.07 a share on Wednesday, down 17% this year. UBS reiterated its “buy” stock rating for Apple since March 2021, while Wedbush has maintained its “outperform” stock rating for Apple over the past three years.
