Singer IU Discovers Illegal Ticket Trafficker and Expels Fan Club Members
On May 16th, singer IU made a stunning appearance at the ‘2024 Gucci Cruise Fashion Show’ held at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul. However, behind the scenes, an unfortunate incident unfolded. IU’s agency, Edam Entertainment, has confirmed multiple cases of fraudulent ticket bookings for her upcoming fan concert ‘I + Universe’. As a result, four members of the IU fan club, known as Uaena, have been permanently expelled. Additionally, measures have been taken to restrict and cancel tickets associated with the fraudulent activity.
Strict Measures Against Fraudulent Ticket Bookings
Edam Entertainment expressed their determination to combat illegal ticket transactions. So far, they have identified a total of seven fraudulent booking cases, with four of them involving fan club members. The agency has taken swift and decisive action by permanently expelling these individuals from the fan club. Furthermore, the affected members will face a one-year restriction on using Melon Ticket ID, and their advance tickets will be canceled.
In addition to the fan club members, one case involving a general ticket holder has also been canceled. Edam Entertainment is actively working on preventing further reservations for this performance.
To ensure ticket sales remain fair and legitimate, the agency is imposing stricter measures. They plan to investigate and verify suspected illegal transactions through diligent reporting and monitoring. In cases where doubts persist, additional identity verification will be required for on-site ticket collection.

Meanwhile, IU will delight her devoted fans with a special concert celebrating her 15th birthday.
