J-League “Double Misconduct” Arrested by Sendai / Michibuchi, Niigata / Fabio & Manzi cancel contract due to violation of road traffic law
J1 Sendai midfielder Ryohei Michibuchi (26) was arrested by the Miyagi Prefectural Police on the 7th of last month on suspicion of injury to a dating woman, according to a photo magazine Flash released on the 20th. The prefectural police said, “I haven’t announced the press release, so I won’t answer.”
Michibuchi is the main player who has participated in 13 league games this season. He was also a leading player in the first convocation of the Japanese national team. In 2017 during the Kofu era, he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an acquaintance woman.
In addition, J2 Niigata announced on the 19th that the contracts of FW Fabio (23) and FW Pedro Manzi (32), who had been sent documents for violating the Road Traffic Act, were canceled. According to the club, Fabio was cracked down on drunk driving in Niigata City before dawn on the 17th of last month. Manji was on board.
Niigata did not disclose this fact for about a month, during which Fabio played six games. President Daisuke Korenaga was given a reduction in salary (100% reduction) within the year.
