Climate activist Greta Thunberg has accused New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of doing nothing to stop global warming. Greta says she has never met a politician who has worked to combat climate change. In June, Jacinta Arden said, “Climate change is as important as life and death.” There was a very strong response from the Greta side to the question about the same.
“The belief that people like Jacinta Arden are climate leaders is a big joke,” Greta told The Guardian. Greenhouse gas emissions have not yet decreased. Greta says it is impossible to say that world leaders have done anything without it.
New Zealand Climate Change Minister James Shaw is right that Tanberg said the country’s carbon emissions have not yet decreased. But that means it will happen. ‘Their government is working for that. The government still has a lot to do, ”he said.
In December 2020, New Zealand declared a climate emergency and pledged to decarbonize the public sector by 2025. “This move is not a positive move,” Greta tweeted. On December 13, 2020, Greater tweeted that the move would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by just under one percent. Greta also alleged that it was not at all different from other countries. Arden responded at the time that “his government intends to do more, so Greta’s allegations are unfounded.”
Greta said she and her family are under threat because she stands up for the weather. Greta says people from outside the home tried to copy themselves and tried to get inside. Earlier, Global Witness released figures showing that 227 activists were killed in 2020 for standing up for the environment.
