Jae-myung Lee, ‘A 30-minute living area in the metropolitan area’ … “Addition of new GTX routes”

Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung announced the Gyeonggi Promise, saying, “We will promote a transportation revolution that connects the entire metropolitan area to a living area within an average of 30 minutes to greatly increase the proximity of Gyeonggi residents to direct residence.”

Candidate Lee held a press conference at Poeun Art Hall in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do and promised, “We will promote the ‘GTX Plus Project’ that adds new routes to GTX and increase the speed of GTX A B C routes.”

Specifically, “GTX-A+ routes will be extended from Dongtan to Pyeongtaek, while GTX-C+ will extend to Dongducheon in the north and Byeongjeom, Osan, and Pyeongtaek in the south,” he explained.

At the same time, GTX-D will be made as a section from Gimpo-Bucheon-Gangnam-Hanam as requested by Gyeonggi-do at the beginning, and new GTX-E routes from Incheon and Pocheon and GTX-F routes will be promoted from Paju to Yeoju,” he added.

In addition to this, in addition to the extension of Gwanaksan Station to Anyang on the Seobu Line, the extension of subway lines 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, the establishment of the Goyang-Eunpyeong line, the extension of various railway networks such as the Bucheon Jangjang-Hongdae line project, and the relocation of Suwon-gun Airport, Gyeonggi Province There is also a plan to build a southern airport.

He added, “We will support the early opening of all sections of the Seoul Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway project and further review the undergroundization of the Gyeongbu section of Gyeongbu Expressway that spans Yangjae and Dongtan Interchange.”

In addition, he said, “For the first phase of new towns such as Bundang, Sanbon, Ilsan, Middle East, and Pyeongchon, we will make a special law to ease regulations such as the safety diagnosis standards for reconstruction and redevelopment and the safety review standards for remodeling.”

At the same time, Candidate Lee promised to divide Gyeonggi-do into regions and create a model for inter-Korean economic cooperation by improving location regulations in the eastern part, building a wide-area transportation network, creating an eco-friendly ecological park in the western part, creating a high-tech industrial hub in the southern part, and enacting the Peace Special Economic Zone Act in the northern part.
