Jae-myung Lee “I called Nak-yeon Lee… There are plenty of opportunities to be together.”

Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said, “I think there will be plenty of opportunities to work together next time,” said Lee Jae-myung, the former president of Honam, who met in the presidential primary on the 27th.

Candidate Lee, who visited Gwangju and Jeollanam-do on a three-night, four-day mata bus schedule (minsaeng bus rides every week), met with reporters after the ‘National Association with Gangjin Farmers’ event held in Gundong-myeon, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do on the afternoon of the same day and met with former CEO Lee. He said this about the fact that he had requested to accompany him to the Honam schedule, but it was known that it was canceled.

When Candidate Lee was asked a related question, he looked at Spokesperson Lee So-young, who was with him, and confirmed, “We asked for it,” and said, “I made the call.”

He continued, “I just said that I was going to Jeollanam-do and Gwangju.”
He added, “We couldn’t adjust it in advance because this is a schedule that we have recently set.” Previously, it was known that Lee had asked former CEO Lee to accompany him before entering the Honam Matabus schedule.

Kang Hoon-shik, chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Democratic Party, who is classified as a close aide to Lee, said in a radio interview the day before about the possibility of Lee’s accompaniment to the Honam schedule, he said, “I will not deny that.” Observations of encounters between the two have emerged.

However, Lee’s side told reporters, “Ex-CEO Lee has schedules for Chungcheong and Gyeongnam, which were scheduled a long time ago on the 26th and 28th. There are no plans to visit Honam at all, and there has been no discussion at all on the working level.”

Meanwhile, Candidate Lee is scheduled to visit Yeongwang, Jeollanam-do, the hometown of former CEO Lee, on the 29th, when he concludes his visit to Honam.
