Jae-myung Lee, Sejong and North Chungcheong Province won a majority… Nak-yeon Lee 28.19%


Candidate Jae-myung Lee, the candidate for the 20th presidential election of the Democratic Party of Korea, also won the second round of rounds held in Sejong and North Chungcheong Province on the 5th by a landslide.

Candidate Lee took the first place with 7035 votes (54.54%) out of 12,899 votes in the Sejong-Chungbuk competition held at the CJB Convention Center in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, on the afternoon of the same day. After the Daejeon and Chungnam primary elections, it won the majority of the votes for two days in a row.

In a meeting with reporters after the announcement of the election results, Governor Lee said, “The approval rate is higher than expected.

Candidate Nak-yeon Lee took second place with 3834 votes (29.72%). As with the Daejeon and Chungnam primary elections, this is slightly more than half of candidate Lee Jae-myung’s share of the vote. Lee said, “I humbly accept the will of the rights party members and delegates” to the reporter’s question, ‘Is the performance lower than expected in the Chungcheong region?’ “I will do my best in the future,” he said. Candidate Mi-ae Chu took third place with 915 votes (7.09%) in the Sejong and North Chungcheong primary elections. Candidate Sye-Kyun Chung followed with 708 votes (5.49%), candidate Yong-Jin Park with 287 votes (2.22%), and candidate Doo-Kwan Kim with 120 votes (0.93%).
