Ahmedabad: Indian captain Rohit Sharma reacted to the incident when a group of fans in the Jai Shriram gallery called out to Indian pacer Mohammed Shami during the fourth cricket test against Australia. Rohit expressed his stand on the issue in a press conference held after the fourth Test ended in a draw.
This is the first time I have heard of such an event. I don’t know anything about that. I don’t know what happened there, said Rohit. Just before the start of the first day of the Ahmedabad Test, when the Indian players were fielding near the boundary, the fans in the gallery called Shami by his name and called him Jai Sriram.
“Shami… Jai Shree Ram”…
If this really happened before the start of the 4th test of the test in Ahmedabad, it makes me blush at the insensitivity associated with some spikes.
We will ban these fellows from attending any games here afterwards! pic.twitter.com/AYHK2W5suw

Surya raised his hand to the fans who called Suryakumar Yadav by his name and returned. The fans then loudly chanted Jai Shriram. After this he was called by the name Muhammad Shami and called Jai Shriram. Shami did not respond to the fans’ calls. There was harsh criticism on social media against the behavior of the fans.
Will my work be splashed? Ashwin to Pujara and bowled! The second wall of India with a classic answer
