Jamal Khashoggi murder; Saudi Arabia denies US congressional report

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has denied reports in a report to the US Congress on the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it could not accept the report’s negative and erroneous conclusions about the country’s leadership.

The ministry said the Saudi government would not approve the report in any way. The ministry recalled that Saudi officials had earlier stated that it was a serious crime to violate the country’s laws and values.
