Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has denied reports in a report to the US Congress on the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it could not accept the report’s negative and erroneous conclusions about the country’s leadership.
The ministry said the Saudi government would not approve the report in any way. The ministry recalled that Saudi officials had earlier stated that it was a serious crime to violate the country’s laws and values. The statement said that legal action had been taken against the culprits and the court had issued a final verdict and the family of Jamal Khashoggi had welcomed the sentencing of the culprits.
It is unfortunate that the report contains erroneous conclusions as the administration has taken all possible steps to prevent the recurrence of such crimes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States is strong and strong and that the relationship between the two countries has been based on mutual respect for eight decades. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Saudi Arabia was working to ensure security, stability, unity and cooperation in the region and around the world.
