Rapper Noel (21, real name Jang Yong-jun) had an accident while driving without a license and issued an apology after being arrested for assaulting the police while refusing to take a breathalyzer.

Noel posted on his Instagram story on the afternoon of the 19th, “I have nothing to say,” and “I will accept all the punishment I have to pay for my sins and try to become a more mature member of society.” He added, “I am very sorry to all the fans and to the many people who have been harmed because of me.”

Previously, Noel was driving a vehicle in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul around 10:30 pm on the 18th and had a collision with another car. It was determined that no one was injured in the accident. However, after the police asked Noel for a breathalyzer test and identification, it was reported that Noel refused and hit the police in the head.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul charged Noel with unlicensed drinking under the Road Traffic Act, refusal to take a breathalyzer, and obstruction of public duties. After the investigation, Noel was sent home. Previously, in September 2019, Noel had an accident while driving drunk near Mapo-gu, Seoul, and collided with a motorcycle. At that time, his blood alcohol level was at the level of his license revoked, and Noel was also accused of asking acquaintance A to make a false statement to the police that he was driving for him after the accident. In June last year, at the first trial, Noel was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison and 2 years of probation, and was ordered to take 40 hours of law-abiding driving lessons. He was sent to the prosecution on charges of swearing and assaulting passerby B. As a result of checking CCTV around the scene, the police determined that Noel was using violence, but the prosecution ruled that Noel had the right to prosecute, and Noel did not stand in the trial court.

On the other hand, Noel is the son of Jang Je-won, a member of the People’s Strength National Assembly, and gained recognition through Mnet’s ‘High School Rapper’ in 2017. Since then, he has released albums such as ‘Summer 19′, ’18’ F/W, and ‘Double Noel’, and recently established the one-man label Glitched Company.
