Japan announced a total ban on foreign tourists from entering the country on Tuesday

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced that the entry of foreign tourists will be completely banned on Tuesday, and Japanese returning from several countries must undergo quarantine to prevent the spread of the variant new crown virus Omicron.

On the 8th of this month, Japan has relaxed the ban on business travelers, international students and technical interns, allowing them to enter Japan if they agree to be tracked for epidemic prevention. The new measures mean that business travelers and foreign students will be banned from entering Japan again.

Japan lists the variant virus Omicron as the most vigilant “variant virus that requires vigilance.” The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare will require local governments to implement tests to quickly detect suspected cases.
