Japanese AV actor disappeared 2 weeks… found dead, tied to a tree

[이데일리 권혜미 기자] Japanese adult video (AV) actress Arano Rina (23) was found dead two weeks after her disappearance.

According to the Japanese media Asahi Shimbun and Riku on the 30th of last month, Arano, who was living in Tokyo, was found dead in the forest of Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture on the 18th of last month. He was undressed and tied to a tree.

On the morning of June 5, Arano said to his parents, “I am going to see a friend,” and did not return after leaving the house. The family reported the disappearance three days later, and the police started the search on June 8.

The police arrested Hiroyuki Sanpei, a 33-year-old man who met Arano at a train station in Ibaraki prefecture, as a possible suspect. Before Arano went missing, he texted the man and showed him on CCTV outside the train station. It was because they were caught getting into the car together.

In addition, Arano’s body was found only 1.6 km away from the location of a luxurious villa in Sanpei.

Sanpei, who denied the charges at the time of the arrest, said, “I took Arano to my villa, and there I got consent and was handcuffed for a while.” After that, I don’t know where he went.”

A video of Arano in handcuffs was also found on his cell phone, but Sanpei said it was “consensual filming.”

At that time, the police had no choice but to release Sanpei because there was no evidence. However, the police were able to find Arano’s body after checking the location information on the driving record device installed in Sanpei’s car and conducting a search operation.

Police re-arrested Sanpei as a leading suspect on the 24th of last month, and it is known that he is currently exercising his right to remain silent.

Meanwhile, an investigative official said, “As a result of the autopsy, it is possible that Arano died of strangulation.”
