[이코노믹리뷰=이가영 기자] Jeju Air has opened the skyway in Yanji, China, which is called the gateway to Mt. Baekdu.
Jeju Air announced that it had started operating at Incheon International Airport at 3 pm on the 19th with the inauguration ceremony in the presence of executives and staff including CEO Lee Seok-joo.
With this Yanji service, Jeju Air will operate 13 routes to 10 cities in China, including Nantong, which launched on the 13th, to Beijing, Qingdao, Weihai, Sanya, Shijiazhuang, Jiamusi, Yantai, and Haikou.
Yanji is the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province, China, and is the gateway to Mt. Baekdu tourism.
The Incheon-Yanji route departs from Incheon International Airport 6 times a week (except Tuesdays) at 4 pm (local time) and arrives at Yanji Airport in China at 5:25 pm, and at Yanji Airport at 6:30 pm. Departure and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 10 PM.
