The 61st Gangwon Arts Festival, the largest art event in the Gangwon region, is being held in Jeongseon, the hometown of Arirang, until the 7th.
The 61st Gangwon Arts Festival, held under the theme of ‘Pray for the Gariwangsan Olympic National Garden’, is held in the national hometown for the first time since the establishment of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. As an art event, it is very meaningful.

In particular, on this day, Governor Kim Jin-tae of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province visited Jeongseon, the hometown of the people, where the Gangwon Arts Festival is held.
Governor Kim watched the exhibition held at the Jeongseon Arirang Center and Arisamteo along with Jeongseonbu County Governor Kang Seon-gu, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Culture and Arts Department Director Park Gwang-yong, Jeongseon Arirang Cultural Foundation Director Choi Jong-soo, and Gangwon Arts Foundation officials.
At 1 p.m. on the 3rd, the Gangwon Living Arts Festival was held at the Jeongseon Public Stadium, where clubs from 18 cities and counties competed.
In addition, at 7:00 pm, a singing contest for housewives representing 18 cities and counties and performances by invited singers continued, providing a pleasant time to the participants and residents of Jeongseon-gun.
The Gangwon Arts Festival will hold various exhibition events until the 7th, and on the first floor of the Jeongseon Arirang Center, there will be a contest for poetry works for members of the Gangwon Literature Association, the Gangwon Love Poetry Exhibition, which selects and exhibits 50 excellent works, and 60 works by Gangwon photographers. The Gangwon Photo Exhibition will be held.
In addition, around 150 works, including Korean and Western paintings, watercolors, calligraphy, and literati paintings created by members of the Gangwon Art Association, will be exhibited at Jeongseon Arisemteo.
