Tampa Bay’s Choi Ji-man of Major League Baseball contributed to the team’s 6-1 victory by hitting a hit in four games in a row.
Choi Ji-man hit a single RBI in the 7th inning in the home game against Detroit in the 2022 American Professional Baseball League held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA on the 19th.
On this day, Detroit started the game with left-handed Eduardo Rodriguez as the starting pitcher, and Choi Ji-man took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the 7th, 1 out, 1 and 2, and entered the plate instead of Harold Ramirez.
Choi Ji-man caught second-base runner Brett Phillips home with a hit in the right-center after receiving a curveball from Detroit pitcher Alex Lang’s fourth pitch.
Tampa Bay defeated Detroit 6-1 with Isaac Paredis, who played an active role with two RBIs in four at-bats including one RBI by Choi Ji-man and a home run.
Choi Ji-man’s season batting average, which recorded one hit and one RBI, rose from 0.269 to 0.279.
