Jingan injured on third day with Croatian club; Debut delayed

Zagreb (Croatia): Former Kerala Blasters player and Indian defender Sandesh Jingan’s debut in the Croatian club will be delayed.

Jingan was injured on the third day of completing the transfer process to HNK Sibenik and joining the team.

The player was injured hours before making his debut in the match against Rijeka FC in the first division of Croatia.

Coach Mario Rosas reported that Jingan was injured. He said the injury was not serious.

Jingan arrived in Croatia last Sunday. Later, it took time to rectify the issues like registration of the actor and work permit. The injury came shortly after he started training with the team. The player currently has a contract until 2022.

The player went to HNK Sibenik from Indian Super League club ATK Mohan Bagan. Jingan was the highest paid defender in India. Jingan left Kolkata with four years left on his contract with ATK.
