The Justice Party leadership has decided to resign after taking responsibility for the results of the 6.1 local elections.

Yeo Young-guk, leader of the Justice Party, said at the disbanding ceremony of the election this morning, “With more reflection and renewal, the party representative and all the delegation decided to resign at the emergency delegation meeting that was held a while ago.”

“The Justice Party delegation humbly accepts the people’s demands,” Yeo said.

In particular, he said, “I am very sorry that the Justice Party was not a big help to the party members who were with the 191 candidates who prepared for several years and ran day and night with all their might in the local elections.”

Representative Yeo said sorry and thanks to the people and party members, and emphasized that “I will go back to the feeling of starting the progressive party and start over from the bottom.”

In this local election, the Justice Party ran seven candidates for the election of regional group head, and a total of 191 people ran for office, but only eight members, including the basic member of the constituency, were elected.
