K League 2 Anyang, 2nd place, first direct PO

Professional football K League 2 (Part 2) FC Anyang went straight to the playoffs (PO) with the 2nd place in the regular league with the best performance in the club’s history, continuing their dream of promotion to the first K League 1 (Part 1).

Anyang played against the bottom-ranked Bucheon FC at Anyang Sports Complex on the 31st in the final home match of the final round of the 36th round of Hanawon Q K-League 2, and in the second half, Hong Chang-beom, Acosti (2 goals), and Kim Kyung-joong’s relay goals resulted in Kang Bin’s red card in the first half. Daejeon will play quasi-PO on November 3rd with the Jeonnam Dragons, who have already confirmed 4th place. The winning team will play PO against Anyang on November 7th at Anyang’s home.

In K League 2, the top team in the regular league goes directly to K League 1 (Part 1) next season, and the 2nd-4th place gets a chance to challenge for promotion through PO.

The winner of the K-League 2 3rd and 4th place semi-PO single match will play a PO with the 2nd place team as well, and the winning team will face the K League 1 11th place team in the relegation playoff.

The semi-PO and PO will be played at the home stadium of the team with the highest ranking in the regular season. In the event of a draw in 90 minutes, the top team in the regular round will also be given the right to advance to the next stage.
