Vivek Oberoi has joined the cast of Shaji Kailas’ Kaduva Movie starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. It was reported months ago that Vivek would be in the film. But Prithviraj confirmed this on social media yesterday. This is a Malayalam movie starring Vivek Oberoi after Lucifer. A short video of Vivek arriving at the set has been circulating on social media.
Lucifer was Vivek Oberoi’s first Malayalam film. He made the character of Bobby in the film unforgettable. One of the favorite characters of his career, Vivek said of Bobby in interviews: “It was difficult to portray ‘Bobby’ as the opposite of the legendary Mohanlal, because it was a subtle character, Bobby is a hero in his own world, all he does is right. The thing that attracted me was the challenge of sticking with Mohanlal’s performance. Malayalam cinema is one of the most developed and they are at the forefront in terms of quality.
Meanwhile, after a hiatus in his career, two films directed by Shaji Kailas are in various stages of production. If the shooting of Prithviraj starrer ‘Tiger’ is progressing, the movie ‘Elon’ starring Mohanlal is in the post production stage. After a gap of eight years, Shaji Kailas first announced the film Tiger. But during the second wave of Kovid, the film had a scheduled break. It was during this time that he completed the film Ashirwad starring Mohanlal.
