The physical body of Innocent, who died at 10:30 on Sunday night, was brought from Lakeshore Hospital to the Kadawantra Indoor Stadium at 7.55 am on Monday and was laid out for public viewing. A huge crowd flocked to the stadium to see their beloved star. Mammootty was accompanied by his beloved colleague at Lakeshore Hospital and later at the stadium with a grief-stricken face. Actors like Dileep, Siddique, Ivala Babu Madhupal, Saikumar, Mukesh, Dulquer Salmaan, Navya Nair, Beena Antony and many others came to see Innocent at Kadawantra Indoor Stadium. Sureshkumar, Menaka Suresh, Badusha, Joshi and many colleagues from the film industry were present.
The mourning procession left the birthplace at 11:30 AM and reached the Iringalakuda Town Hall at 2:30 AM after receiving the last tributes from the supporters gathered at Aluva, Angamaly and Chalakudi. It was six o’clock by the time the body was taken to the home in Iringalakuda Thekeangadi, witnessed by a huge crowd that flocked to catch a glimpse of the loved one.
