KB Financial Group Selects Yang Jong-hee as Next Chairman Candidate
Today (8th), the Chairman of the KB Financial Group Candidate Recommendation Committee, comprised of seven outside directors, announced the selection of Yang Jong-hee, the current vice chairman of KB Financial Group, as the next chairman candidate. The committee conducted in-depth interviews with Vice Chairman Yang, Vice Chairman Heo In of KB Financial Group, and Chairman Byeong-Ho Kim of Vietnam HD Bank (former Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group) this morning, followed by a vote in favor of Vice Chairman Yang succeeding the current chairman, Yoon Jong-gyu.
KB Financial Group is set to officially recommend Vice Chairman Yang as the next chairman candidate on the 12th, following a thorough review of his executive qualifications. The appointment of the next chairman will be finalized at the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting scheduled for November.
