Kerala Covid Latest Update on cases and death toll October 1

13,138 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 552 is not clear

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 13,834 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Thrissur 1823, Ernakulam 1812, Thiruvananthapuram 1464, Kozhikode 1291, Kollam 1131, Malappuram 1125, Kottayam 896, Pathanamthitta 858, Alappuzha 811, Kannur 744, Palakkad 683, Idukki 671, Wayanad 339 and Kasaragod 186.

During the last 24 hours, 1,05,368 samples were tested. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) covers 745 wards in 368 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 4,40,194 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,22,218 are under home / institutional quarantine and 17,976 in hospitals. A total of 1222 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 1,42,499 Kovid cases, only 11.5 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Today, it has been confirmed that 95 deaths in the last few days are due to Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 25,182.

Today, 74 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 13,138 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 552 is not clear. About 70 health workers were affected.

A total of 13,767 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 821, Kollam 92, Pathanamthitta 592, Alappuzha 1452, Kottayam 1318, Idukki 389, Ernakulam 1500, Thrissur 2203, Palakkad 929, Malappuram 1228, Kozhikode 1418, Wayanad 577, Kannur 983 and Kasaragod 265 were cured. With this, 1,42,499 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 45,26,429 have so far been freed from Kovid.
