Kerala COVID Update : Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 15,768 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Thrissur 1843, Kottayam 1632, Thiruvananthapuram 1591, Ernakulam 1545, Palakkad 1419, Kollam 1407, Malappuram 1377, Alappuzha 1250, Kozhikode 1200, Kannur 993, Pathanamthitta 715, Idukki 373, Wayanad 237 and Kasaragod 186.
During the last 24 hours, 1,05,513 samples were tested. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 2507 wards in 678 local bodies above eight. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 4,86,600 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,62,691 are under home / institutional quarantine and 23,909 are under hospital surveillance. 1676 people were newly admitted to the hospital. At present, out of 1,61,195 Kovid cases, only 13.7 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.
Today, 214 deaths have been confirmed due to Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 23,897.

Today, 124 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. A total of 14,746 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 798 is not clear. About 100 health workers were affected by the disease.

A total of 21,367 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1657, Kollam 1431, Pathanamthitta 1206, Alappuzha 1104, Kottayam 1460, Idukki 803, Ernakulam 2712, Thrissur 2448, Palakkad 1429, Malappuram 2591, Kozhikode 2508, Wayanad 801, Kannur 752 and Kasaragod 465 were cured. With this, 1,61,195 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. So far 43,54,264 people have been released from Kovid.
