Kerala COVID Update : Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 15,951 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 2572, Thiruvananthapuram 1861, Thrissur 1855, Kottayam 1486, Kozhikode 1379, Malappuram 1211, Palakkad 1008, Alappuzha 985, Kollam 954, Idukki 669, Kannur 646, Pathanamthitta 623, Wayanad 502 and Kasaragod 200.
During the last 24 hours, 1,03,484 samples were tested. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) covers 841 wards in 422 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 4,74,901 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,53,119 are under home / institutional quarantine and 21,782 in hospitals. A total of 1312 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
At present, out of 1,63,280 Kovid cases, only 12.1 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Today, it has been confirmed that 165 deaths in the last few days have been caused by Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 24,603.
Today, 70 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. A total of 15,191 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 617 is not clear. The disease affected 73 health workers.

A total of 17,658 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2096, Kollam 117, Pathanamthitta 734, Alappuzha 1360, Kottayam 1407, Idukki 956, Ernakulam 635, Thrissur 4764, Palakkad 734, Malappuram 1328, Kozhikode 1661, Wayanad 968, Kannur 600 and Kasaragod 298 were cured. With this, 1,63,280 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 44,41,430 have so far been freed from Kovid.
