Khalil, who has been in hiding so far, arrived in Kabul yesterday. Haqqani led the prayers at a mosque in Kabul last Friday. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Haqqani may play a significant role in the Taliban government.

Khalil has also been seen holding talks with Taliban leaders. Khalil Ahmed Haqqani is a senior member of the Haqqani Network, a Taliban-linked terrorist group operating in Pakistan’s North Waziristan district.
