Kim Jong-in, who attended Nak-yeon Lee’s event, “I have no idea about the hypertrophy of the chairman of the Democratic Party”

Kim Jong-in, former chairman of the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee, is lost in thought for a while at the Unity and Symbiosis Dinner Forum, a pro-Lee Nak-affiliated think tank held at a restaurant in Yeouido, Seoul on the morning of 16th/News

On the 16th, the think tank ‘Solidarity and Fairness’ (Advanced), a gathering of former representatives of the Democratic Party Nak-yeon Lee, held a lecture by inviting the former Chairman of the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee Kim Jong-in. About 40 people attended, including former lawmaker Choi Woon-yeol, a close aide of former lawmaker Lee, and Nampyeong-oh, former head of the Civil Affairs Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office. Originally, the current lawmakers involved with Nak Lee planned to attend, but senior officials said they were not invited considering the situation where an arrest warrant was requested for Rep. Lee.

In fact, some current lawmakers related to Nak Lee are reported to have conveyed their concerns to former CEO Lee in relation to the incident that day, “There may be a political misunderstanding that they are conspiring against a situation of the type.” In a situation before nominations for next year’s general election, it is interpreted that the non-myeonggye lawmakers have no choice but to notice the leadership that is in favor of Lee Jae-myung. The person who invited former Chairman Kim said in a phone call with this magazine, “The purpose is to invite someone who will speak beyond camp logic.”

Regarding CEO Lee Jae-myung’s judicial risk in a lecture, former Chairman Kim said, “It is not a party, but a matter of Lee’s individual,” and said, “The Democratic Party should separate the party’s problems without match Lee’s personal problems.” When asked if he had any plans to play a role within the Democratic Party, as chairman of the Emergency Response Committee, he said, “I have no intention of doing that,” and of former CEO Nak-yeon Lee, he said , “Nak-yeon Lee’s failure was because he was loyal to President Moon Jae-in.”

Former Chairman Kim did not speak directly to President Yoon Seok-yeol. However, when asked to evaluate President Yoon, he said, “The public’s psychology is to be more interested in things like gas and rent than camp fighting, so it is better for the current president to clearly recognize the situation and run the affairs of the state. .”

Regarding the three major reforms (pension, labor, education) proposed by President Yoon, former Chairman Kim said, “All of them are reforms that cannot be done without institutional support, and in order to support them, we must the National Assembly made them. “It’s a very frustrating situation.” At the same time, he said, “There will be no special policy that can show progress until next year’s general election.” Regarding political reform currently being discussed in the political world, he said, “I don’t think the central constituency system is viable,” and about the four-year presidential system proposed by Lee Jae-myeong , he said, “On the contrary, the phenomenon of political fandom will worsen, and Korean politics will worsen.” He emphasized the need for a cabinet system.
