Kim Yeon-kyung (33, Shanghai, China), who showed everything at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, left an Olympic review on her Instagram on the 10th.

Kim Yeon-kyung opened up saying, “All the Olympic schedules are over.”

He continued, “As every moment I prepared for the Olympics came to my mind like a film, I realized once again how hard I was preparing for this competition.”

Kim Yeon-kyung said, “I thought sports was rewarded with results, but while preparing for this (Olympic) event, I realized once again that the results are results, but the process is important. And I thought that there would be no regrets,” he said.

The Olympics were not easy for Kim Yeon-kyung, who is considered the best volleyball player in the world.

At the beginning of this year, there were rumors of a quarrel with Da-young Lee at the Heungkuk Life club. Then, the twin sisters Lee Jae-young and Da-young were dropped from the national team due to school violence during their school days, and his goal, which he had been running for the Olympics, was set aside.

However, Kim Yeon-kyung and the volleyball team players did not give up. He did not hesitate to camp for three months before the Olympics and did not avoid painful mock exams at the world championships.

The volleyball team, the only Asian country to advance to the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games, finished the quenching, and recorded a beautiful result of placing 4th. Kim Yeon-kyung was the captain who led the national team from beginning to end.

Kim Yeon-kyung, who hinted that there would be no more Olympic stage with this Olympics, pondered the future of Korean women’s volleyball until the very end.

He ended the article by saying, “I see that our women’s volleyball team is at a more important crossroads. I hope that everyone will be more responsible and show a better side to many people than we are doing now,” he concluded.
