“It’s a pity (not winning), but I think I’ll always try. I’m still trying.” He said, “I think I’ll have to hit 18-under (total of three rounds) to win. I’ll try,” he said.

Lee Ga-young, who has been frequently entering the lead recently, played a neat game, catching 6 birdies without bogeying.

Rookie Park Bo-gyeom, who missed the cut 11 times this year, started his escape from the slump by sweeping 7 birdies with his long hitting power.

Kim Ji-hyun, who became the main character of ‘Ji-hyeon Cheon-ha’ after winning this competition in 2017, hit 5 under par 67 and tied for fourth place.

Choi Hye-jin (22), Park Hyeon-kyung (21), Jang Su-yeon (27), and Ji Soo-jin (24), who enjoyed the luck of the 16th hole (par 3) hole-in-one, also joined the group tied for 4th with a 5-under par 67.

Park Seo-jin (22), who defended the title this time after winning this competition in 2019, and Jang Hana (29), who ranked first in average batting average, recorded 4-under 68 strokes side by side.

Park Min-ji (23), who is aiming for 7 wins in the season, tied 4 birdies and 1 bogey to hit 3-under 69.

Park Min-ji said, “It wasn’t a bad day overall. However, the putts didn’t go as well as I thought. I will forget as soon as the first round is over and try to focus on reducing the number of strokes from the second round. I will aim for the win in the remaining rounds.”
