Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty received crores of gifts for their wedding. Athiya’s father and Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty and his wife gifted the bride and groom a house worth Rs 50 crore. Bollywood actors Salman Khan gifted an Audi car worth 1.64 crores, Arjun Kapoor a diamond necklace worth 1.5 crores and Jackie Shroff a watch worth 30 lakhs.
Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress and wife Anushka Sharma gifted a BMW car worth Rs 2.17 crore as a wedding gift. Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also donated a Kawasaki Ninja bike worth 80 lakhs. However, the Indian players could not attend the wedding ceremony as they were playing in the series against New Zealand.
The wedding ceremony was held on January 23 at Sunil Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. Rahul and Athiya got married after a long courtship. Only close friends and relatives took part in the ceremony. The family of both said that a special wedding reception will be held after the IPL season.
