Kohli’s gift to Bangladesh player who rocked India Kohli’s gift to Bangladesh player

Adelaide: Indian player Virat Kohli gifted Bangladesh player Liton Das who rocked India with his explosive batting. After the match, Kohli handed over one of his cricket bats to the player. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus disclosed this. He said when we were sitting in the dining hall after the match, Kohli came and handed over the bat to Liton and this made the player very excited.

India defeated Bangladesh by five runs in the crucial match of the World Cup Twenty20 Super 12. It seemed that Liton Das’s innings would lead Bangladesh to victory in the rain-interrupted match. Chasing India’s 185, Bangladesh were at one point in a strong position of 66 for no loss in seven overs. Bangladesh were leading by 17 runs under the rain rule. If the match had ended, Bangladesh would have won.

After the rain stopped, Bangladesh revised their target to 151 in 16 overs. However, only 145 runs needed to be scored in the allotted overs. Liton Das scored a fifty off 21 balls to give India the lead. KL scored 60 runs in 27 balls including seven fours and three sixes. Unfortunately even Rahul had run out. After Liton Das got out, India returned to hope of victory. Virat Kohli remained unbeaten with 64 runs and was the star of the match.
