The Korean men’s gymnastics advanced to the final in the group event of the 51st World Championships.

Korean national team consisting of Ryu Seong-hyeon, Kim Jae-ho (Korea National University head), Kim Han-sol (Seoul City Hall), Lee Jun-ho (Jeonbuk Provincial Government), and Lee Jeong-hyo ( Posco E&C). ) competed in the 2022 FIFA World Gymnastics Federation (FIG) World Championships held in Liverpool, England on the 1st (Korea time) In the men’s team preliminary round of the tournament, he came 8th with a total of 244.093 points in six events: floor exercise, massager, ring, cutting board, parallel bar, and iron bar.

With this, Korea managed to surpass Germany (9th), who scored 243.292 points, advancing to the final round where the top 8 countries compete.

The top three countries in the finals of this competition will be given the right to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The remaining nine tickets will go to the top nine countries in the team qualifiers for next year’s World Championships. If Korea maintains its current skills, it is very likely that they will qualify for the Paris Olympics.

From the 1992 Barcelona Olympics to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics last year, South Korea advanced to the Olympic finals eight times in a row.

In the individual event, Ryu Seong-hyeon scored 14.466 points in the floor exercise and advanced to the final, where eight people competed in sixth place.

Ryu Seong-hyun finished 13th in the preliminary round with 81.930 points in the individual round and on to the final with 24 participants.
