The first summit between US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The two countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of economic security and adopted the ‘Atlantic Declaration’.

President Biden did not hide his intention to maintain control of China.

Prime Minister Sunak also made it clear that there are challenges from China and Russia behind strengthening economic and security cooperation with the United States.

A US Defense Department official assessed that China’s dangerous behavior has increased dramatically over the past year and a half, with communication channels cut between China and the military.

Recently, the threat flight of the Chinese military fighter plane and close navigation in the Taiwan Strait have been criticized as very dangerous actions that can lead to crisis or conflict.

But the US military has said it will never shrink from the Chinese threat.

He also explained that the United States is modernizing its nuclear forces and strengthening an extended deterrence in preparation for the nuclear arsenal of China and North Korea.

A US Defense Department official said it plans to continue sending nuclear strategic assets to the Korean Peninsula this year, citing as examples of the extended deterrence of the ROK-U.S.

In Northumberland, north-east England, there is a UNESCO World Heritage site called Hadrian’s Wall. Next to it is a hill called Sycamore Gap, where a single sycamore tree stands and many visitors come here every year. It was such a famous tree that it was chosen as Tree of the Year in a competition held by Coed Cadw in 2016.

However, between the night of the 27th and the next morning, the river was cut down, leaving only the stump. It was obvious that someone had cut it with a chainsaw.

Police immediately arrested the 16-year-old, but it is unclear why he committed the crime. Police said they are waiting for tips from those who know the reason.

PA Media Northumberland National Park Authority Chief Executive Tony Gates said the tree had been an “inspiration and part of British identity” for artists, writers and photographers. “A lot of people have a deep connection to this place and have great memories of it, and it would be a real shame to lose that,” he said. He added that he hoped it would not have too much of an impact on tourism as Northumberland had a number of other great attractions.

Photographer Ian Sprott said it was “heartbreaking”, while Hexham councilor Guy Offerman said it was “absolutely heartbreaking”.

But National Trust general manager Andrew Ford said the stump of the tree was so healthy that new shoots could grow under the trunk and cover the tree again.

The BBC is broadcasting a text message asking people to send in pictures of their memories of Britain’s most beloved tree.
