KOSPI, year to date high due to strong semiconductors…2580 line closed

The KOSPI hit a new high this year due to strong semiconductor stocks.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 30th, the KOSPI index finished at 2585.52, up 1.04% from the previous trading day. Foreigners bought a net 675.6 billion won, lifting the index. On the other hand, individuals and institutions sold stocks worth 542.8 billion won and 1124 won, respectively.

By industry, electricity and electronics rose (2.52%) and machinery (0.16%), while insurance (-1.88%) and transport equipment (-1.11%) fell.

The highest stocks in the KOSPI market capitalization rose mainly in semiconductor stocks. Samsung Electronics (2.84%), LG Energy Solutions (0.35%), SK Hynix (1.01%), Samsung Biologics (0.13%), and Samsung SDI (3.61%) rose, while LG Chem (-0.57%) and Hyundai Motor ( Decreased -2.43%), Kia (-2.06%), and Naver (-0.49%).

On this day, the KOSDAQ index finished at 851.50, up 0.98% from the previous trading day. Foreigners and institutions bought 114.5 billion won and 110.7 billion won, respectively. Individuals were counted as net sellers worth 214.1 billion won.

At the top of the market cap, Ecopro BM rose (0.42%) and Ecopro (0.74%), but Celltrion Pharm (-0.12%) and Osstem Implant (-0.05%) closed.
