Kovid at 46,387, highest rate; 9000 crossed Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam | Covid Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: There is a huge jump in the daily Kovid case in Kerala. Another 46,387 people were newly diagnosed with the disease. During the last 24 hours, 1,15,357 samples were tested. Confirmation Rate (TPR) 40.21. Thirty-two deaths have been confirmed in the past few days. 309 deaths on appeal have also been reported. This brings the total death toll in the state to 51,501. A total of 15,388 patients were cured.

There are currently 3,20,516 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,13,323 are under home / institutional quarantine and 7193 are in hospitals. A total of 1337 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Currently, out of 1,99,041 Kovid cases, only 3% of individuals are admitted to hospital / field hospitals.

Of those diagnosed, 172 were from outside the state. 43,176 people were affected by contact. Contact source for 2654 is not clear. 385 health workers were affected by the disease. 52,59,594 people have so far got rid of Kovid. 99.8 per cent of the population to be vaccinated was given one dose and 83 per cent two doses. A total of 61 per cent (9,24,531) of children aged 15 to 17 years were vaccinated.
