New Delhi: The number of covid cases in the country is increasing. In the last 24 hours, 3,016 people have been infected with the virus, with this, the number of cases in the country has reached 13,509. There has been an increase of 40 per cent in one day. The positivity rate has also increased to 2.7 per cent The weekly positivity rate is 1.71 per cent.
14 deaths were reported in the country within 24 hours, eight from Kerala, three from Maharashtra, two from Delhi and one from Himachal Pradesh.
With this, the number of covid deaths in the country has reached 5,30,862. The recovery rate is 98.78 percent. Yesterday was the highest rate of covid cases reported in the last six months. Kerala has the highest number of covid cases in the country. The daily number of patients is 686. The highest number of active positive cases (3389 ) in Kerala.
Emergency meeting in Delhi
Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said that an emergency meeting would be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the situation where 300 cases have been registered in Delhi within 24 hours..
