Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 1639, Thrissur 1378, Thiruvananthapuram 1197, Kozhikode 976, Kottayam 872, Kollam 739, Malappuram 687, Kannur 602, Pathanamthitta 584, Palakkad 575, Idukki 558, Alappuzha 466, Wayanad 263 and Kasaragod 155.
81,914 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 332 wards in 227 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here. There are currently 3,61,495 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,48,743 are under home / institutional quarantine and 12,752 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 799 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Currently, out of 1,11,083 Kovid cases, only 10.1 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals. Kovid-19 has been confirmed to have caused 85 deaths in the past few days. This brings the total death toll to 26,258.
About 50 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 10,196 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 393 is not clear. The disease affected 52 health workers.
A total of 12,655 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1911, Kollam 76, Pathanamthitta 481, Alappuzha 714, Kottayam 846, Idukki 680, Ernakulam 2762, Thrissur 1271, Palakkad 750, Malappuram 996, Kozhikode 820, Wayanad 474, Kannur 668 and Kasargod 206 were cured. With this, 1,11,083 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 46,56,866 have so far been freed from Kovid.
