Kovid confirmed 4700 more in Kerala; Tested 59,702 samples | Covid | Corona

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid confirmed 4700 cases in Kerala on Thursday. During the last 24 hours, 59,702 samples were tested. Today, 66 deaths have been confirmed due to Kovid. In addition, 254 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 40,855. 4128 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured.

The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 21 wards in 19 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here. There are currently 1,55,639 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,50,837 are under home / institutional quarantine and 4802 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 315 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Of the current 44,376 Kovid cases, only 7.5 per cent are admitted to hospital / field hospitals. Today, 18 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 4437 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 205 is not clear. About 40 health workers were affected. With this, 44,376 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 50,66,034 have so far been freed from Kovid.
