Kovid for 7312 people in the state today; 69,680 samples tested Kerala covid update | Covid kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 7312 people in Kerala today. Thiruvananthapuram 1099, Ernakulam 1025, Kozhikode 723, Thrissur 649, Kottayam 616, Pathanamthitta 534, Kollam 501, Kannur 422, Malappuram 342, Wayanad 331, Alappuzha 315, Idukki 313, Palakkad 284 and Kasaragod 158 districts were affected today.

69,680 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) covers 115 wards in 77 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 2,61,090 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,56,032 are under home / institutional quarantine and 5,058 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 326 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

At present, out of 73,083 Kovid cases, only 7.7 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

It has been confirmed today that 51 deaths in the last few days have been caused by Kovid-19. In addition, 239 deaths have been reported as appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court and 72 deaths have been reported till June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation. This brings the total death toll in the state to 32,598.

Today, 24 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 6813 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 415 is not clear. About 60 health workers were affected.

A total of 8484 patients who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 898, Kollam 632, Pathanamthitta 508, Alappuzha 314, Kottayam 1021, Idukki 469, Ernakulam 1157, Thrissur 1472, Palakkad 331, Malappuram 410, Kozhikode 452, Wayanad 316, Kannur 369 and Kasaragod 135 were cured. With this, 73,083 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 48,81,414 have so far been freed from Kovid.

Kovid 19 Analysis Report

  • 94.9 per cent of the population to be vaccinated were given one dose of vaccine (2,53,57,547) and 52.3 per cent were given two doses of vaccine (1,39,74,944).

  • According to today’s report, of the 7312 new patients, 6201 were eligible for vaccination. Of these, 1440 took one dose of vaccine and 2904 took two doses of the vaccine. However, 1857 people were not reported to have received the vaccine. Kovid vaccines protect people from infection and serious illness and significantly reduce the risk of hospitalization and death.
  • Between October 25 and November 2, an average of 77,516 cases were treated, with only 2 percent requiring oxygen beds and only 1.5 percent needing ICUs. During this period, there were approximately 9278 fewer reported new cases compared to the previous week. The growth rate of new cases has been reduced by 15 per cent compared to the previous week. The number of patients currently being diagnosed and treated in hospitals, field hospitals, ICUs, ventilators and oxygen beds decreased by 17%, 10%, 32%, 11%, 10% and 13% this week, respectively, compared to the previous week. Hospitalization rates and serious cases show a declining trend.
