London: Kovid has confirmed to Croatian superstar Ivan Perisic. The absence of the player is a setback for Croatia, who are preparing to face strong Spain in the pre-quarter on Monday. According to the Croatian team, Kovid has not been confirmed by other players and coaching staff. The Croatia-Spain clash is in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
“The medical team has put Perisic in isolation. Accurate information about the incident has been handed over to the authorities. Persic can be self-isolated for ten days. Perisic will not play in any of Croatia’s next matches. “All the other players are Kovid negative,” the Croatian team said in a statement.
Perisic, who scored in the decisive match against the Czech Republic, also scored in the final match of the group against Scotland. The player who played a crucial role in the performance of runner-up Croatia in the 2018 World Cup scored all three goals.
