Kovid violates rules: Restaurants closed in Bahrain

Manama: Bahrain takes stern action against violators of Kovid precautionary measures Within a week, Bahrain closed four restaurants that violated Kovid regulations. Authorities in the capital and the northern governorates have taken action against companies that relaxed precautionary measures as part of Christmas celebrations.

A nationwide inspection found that 22 restaurants and cafes had violated health and safety regulations. The authorities said that they have handed over to the concerned sections to take legal action against them. On Saturday alone, 128 tests were performed. The inspections are being carried out in collaboration with the Ministries of Health, Home Affairs, Commerce and Tourism. Action has been taken against several restaurants and cafes. In addition, 11 men’s salons and two women’s salons were found to be non-compliant with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines.
