KOVO, IBK’s request for arbitrary cancellation of Songhwa rejects ‘documentation incomplete’

The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) has rejected the official notice of player voluntary cancellation received from IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.

On the 23rd, KOVO stated, “According to Article 52 of the Federation Rules (Athletes with Voluntary Termination), if a player wishes to voluntarily terminate the contract during the contract period, he or she may apply for voluntary termination in writing to the club. The federation must be notified, and if the governor confirms the club’s consent to this, and then announces a player as a player with a voluntary termination, he will become a player with voluntary termination.”

He added, “As a result of a comprehensive review of the official documents received from the club, the data requested by the players in writing was not included. Based on the relevant regulations, it was determined that the documents for the voluntary cancellation application were insufficient, and the official document was rejected,” he added.
