Krafton Callisto Protocol to be released on December 2nd Korean console games are expected

Striking Distance Studios, an independent studio of Krafton, will start pre-ordering the survival horror game ‘Calisto Protocol’ from the 3rd.

Callisto Protocol will be released globally on December 2, this year (based on North America) as a PC game based on the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Steam and Epic Games stores.

Advance reservations can be made through the official website of Callisto Protocol. Day One, Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions are available for pre-order. Depending on the edition, various additional content such as in-game items are provided.

Callisto Protocol is produced by Glenn Scofield, the famous producer of the blockbuster survival horror franchise ‘Dead Space’.

It is a survival horror game containing a survival story that takes place in ‘Calisto’, a moon of Jupiter in 2320. While playing a game that is based on a third person story, the user escapes the ‘Black Iron’ prison in Callisto with the highest security and uncovers the terrible secrets of the ‘United Jupiter Company’.

The goal of the game is to survive the mysterious epidemic that has plunged Black Iron Prison into chaos through tactics such as close combat and shooting combinations.

Since horror is an important game, a unique game design method called ‘horror engineering’ was introduced into the development. It provides users with an unforgettable horror by combining elements such as tension, despair, atmosphere, and humanity.

Crafton started pre-ordering the Callisto Protocol and released a new trailer video on the Callisto Protocol official website. You can get a glimpse of the characters fighting against unidentified creatures and struggling for survival, as well as the atmosphere of the horror game.

Josh Duhamel, who played the role of Captain Lennox in ‘Transformers’ as voice actors for major game characters, and Karen Fukuhara of ‘The Boys’ participated. Josh Duhamel directs the voice as well as the face and movements of the main character and cargo ship pilot ‘Jacob Lee’, who is trapped deep in prison. More information about the other actors and characters will be revealed later.

Glenn Scofield, CEO of Striking Distance Studios, said, “As a game director, I am concentrating on game development so that I can provide thrilling experiences and horror that will leave an afterimage in the user’s mind for a long time even after the game controller is put down. As it is a horror game genre, we expect Callisto Protocol to open a new chapter in the survival horror genre on the next-generation console at the end of this year.”
