KSRTC has taken an overdraft of `50 crore for salary distribution

KSRTC management pays Rs 50 crore overdraft to employees today without waiting for government assistance

Thiruvananthapuram; paving the way for the April payroll of ksrtc employees, which comes at a time when management has overdraft Rs 50 crore. Earlier, the state government had sanctioned Rs 30 crore for this purpose. It is hoped that the salary distribution will be completed by tomorrow. The March salary was paid on April 19th. The salary crisis was overcome last month with an overdraft of Rs 45 crore. At the time of signing the pay revision agreement, the government had promised that salaries would be paid by the fifth of every month. But in the face of continuous delays in the payment of wages, the unions are moving ahead with pre-announced protests.

Minister’s statement provokes protests among workers’; Ananthalawattam Anandan rejects Anthony Raju

CITU leader Ananthalawattam Anandan has publicly rejected Transport Minister Antony Raju. The minister’s statement that the government would not help KSRTC caused a great deal of protest among the workers. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the public sector. Some feel that seeking government help is a shortcoming. CITU does not have that feeling. Ananthalawattam said that KSRTC has no history of standing on its own two feet.
