Kudos Qudus; Ghana filled with Korean eyes Mohammed Kudus was the hero for Ghana after they let a two goal lead slide

Doha: South Korea is in tears at the end of the education field. After trailing by two goals, Ghana defeated a Korean team that fought brilliantly (score 3-2). Mohamed Qudus scored two goals to give Ghana three valuable points. In the final minutes, Korea attacked in waves for the equalizing goal, but could not penetrate the face of Ghana’s goal. Gya Soong’s double goals kept Korea in the game.

In the first few minutes, Korea’s forward line rushed towards the goal and overwhelmed Ghana. Ghana conceded seven corners in the first 20 minutes. Against the flow of the game, Ghana scored first in the 23rd minute. The goal belonged to the defense player Mohammad Salisu. In the 34th minute, Ghana rallied and scored the second goal. Jordan Ayew’s bright cross bounced off the Korean goalkeeper in time to hit Muhammad Qudus’ header (2-0).

In the 56th minute of the second half, Lee Kang was called to the field by Korean coach Paulo Bento to replace Kom Chang Hoon. Lee Kang kept the coach’s hope. In the 58th minute, when Gya Soong headed the ball off Lee Kang into the Ghanaian net, Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence could only watch. Filled with the power of the goal, Korea attacked after three minutes. Gya Soong sent Korea into dreamland once again with a superb header from Jin Soo’s high ball from just off the touchline. Those were the moments that sent the Korean fans in the gallery into a frenzy.

Khudus appeared again in the 68th minute for Ghana when Korea were flying for the winning goal. Inaki Williams missed the ball that flowed into the Korean goal from the left side, but Qudus was able to easily turn it into the net. After a few minutes of break, Ghana is back in the lead (3-2). Ghana’s first win after Korea tried to equalize but missed the goal. Korea’s opponents in the crucial final match of the group stage are the mighty Portugal.
