The movie ‘Kurup’ directed by Srinath Rajendran and starring Dulquar Salman is a hot topic on social media. The film has already garnered a place in the 50 crore club with a record collection in theaters. Now, a making-of video has been released in which the cast and crew share the story behind the film.

Director Sreenath Rajendran, Dulquer Salman, Indrajith Sukumaran, Shine Tom Chacko, Sushin Shyam, Production Designer Banglan, Cinematographer Nimish Ravi, Costume Dine, Dine Says. Dulquer said that he felt that no one had yet adapted the narrative style of the film’s story, that the prospective of each character seemed very fresh and that he really wanted the negative character to act.

Kuruppi’s story was a mystery in his mind for 35 years. Director Srinath Rajendran said that it is a mystery in the minds of all Malayalees and this is the subject that came to his mind when he started making films and that is how the research started. In the video, Srinath talks about the film’s shooting times and the changes in the color tone of each place.

The scenes after Kurup’s character joined the Air Force were filmed at an old air camp found in Mysore. It was shown as the port of Dubai and was located in Mangalore. The ship was shown as VFX. Some parts of Gujarat were shown in the film as Mumbai in the seventies. The sets are arranged in such a way that the art director Banglan recreates the old days.
